What are the commonly used braking methods for three-phase asynchronous motors?

It can be divided into mechanical braking and electrical braking. Mechanical braking refers to the method of using a mechanical device to quickly stop the motor after disconnecting the power supply, so as to decelerate it. Electromagnetic brake is a common mechanical braking method. Electric braking means that the motor generates an electromagnetic torque in the opposite direction to the rotor speed, so that the speed of the motor drops rapidly. , energy feedback braking, etc.

1. Electromagnetic brake

The electromagnetic brake braking method is widely used in lifting machinery, such as cranes, hoists, electric hoists, etc. The utility model has the advantages of accurate positioning, and can prevent accidents caused by heavy objects falling by themselves when the motor is suddenly cut off. The disadvantage is that the size of the electromagnetic brake is large, the brake wear is serious, and the adjustment degree is very good, but it will stop due to heat during braking, and energy consumption braking cannot be guaranteed.

2. The principle of electromagnetic brake

The electromagnetic brake is to directly connect the stator winding and the rotor winding of the motor, and the armature generates electromagnetic torque through the DC voltage to realize the soft start of the motor.
